Zevekote, where we are located, is a municipality of Gistel. We have a yearly Saint-Godelieve procession and a visit to the Godelieve-abbey and the Eastern Mill (Oostmolen) is recommended.

The picturesque village of Zande with its unique restaurant “Geraardsbloempje” is near our compound. A little down the road you will find Koekelare with its many interesting sights: the former brewery Christiaen with its Käthe Kollwitz-tower, the Govaere-mill and the so called “Lange Max”.

20 kilometres further you will find the poldertown of Diksmuide with its many local shops. Every Pentecost you will find a terrific cheese market. The “Ijzertoren” and the many trenches give a powerful testimony about the first World War. In Ypre, just a small drive from Diksmuide you can experience the “Last Post” (every day at 20:00 hours) at the “Menenpoort” (Menin Gate). A unique and must-see event.

Veurne is also an excellent destination (only 15 kilometres) with its yearly procession and its bakery museum.

You also have easy access to Nieuwpoort (with its memorial to King Albert I) a beautiful pier and quaint fishing port and Middelkerke (a haven for hikers) with its Normandpark, the “Dronkenput” and dunes. The Queen of Coastal Cities (Oostende) sits at only 10 kilometres of our B&B.

With car you are only 20 minutes away from Bruges, with it many different touristic activities.
